Our VM mount series of high quality fixed focal length manual focus lenses are designed to be compatible with Leica M-mount and have imaging circles that amply cover the full frame so can be used on both film and digital cameras. They can of course be used on rangefinder-coupled M-mount cameras, but by using mount adapters they can also be mounted on mirrorless digital cameras*. Their flange back distance is similar to various mirrorless cameras so the adapters are thin and the lens and body combinations balance well design-wise.

Interchangeable lenses for rangefinder-coupled cameras can be designed with a high degree of freedom compared to interchangeable lenses for single-lens reflex cameras because the designs do not need to accommodate a mirror mechanism. Utilizing this advantage, all lenses in the VM mount series from the hyper-wide angle with a focal length of 10mm and 131° angle of view to the 75mm F1.5 short telephoto lens feature a compact form so you can experience the eminent portability of rangefinder cameras.
