Nokton, the legendary large maximum aperture lens
Nokton is the designation given to lenses in the Voigtländer lineup with a maximum aperture of F1.5 or larger. The first Nokton was released in 1950. At the time, it was regarded as a lens that could be used for capturing images even in low light situations. In modern times with the increased sensitivity of imaging sensors, the spotlight is now on utilizing very blurred bokeh at the maximum aperture for photographic expression.
Main Features
Classical exterior
A design with a classical taste is utilized for the exterior. With all parts made from metal for excellent feel and operability, the lens delivers joy of ownership.
Compactness and high performance
An element with two aspherical surfaces provide excellent optical performance from maximum aperture. The lens is just 36.9mm long (from the mount surface) so only protrudes slightly into the frame when used on a rangefinder camera for great handling.
Two types of lens coating to choose from
The multi coated (MC) version aims to reproduce colors that are as neutral as possible and the single coated version aims to reproduce classical color tones. This lineup offers a lens coating to match your taste.
SC models were discontinued on April 2022.
Three types of exterior design to choose from
In addition to the practical black and silver models manufactured from aluminum, there is also a nickel plated black paint model manufactured from brass to provide satisfaction of ownership.

Installed with a focus-coupling system
The high-precision rangefinder coupling mechanism enables precise focusing in focus critical situations such as when shooting at or close to maximum aperture.
