This manual focus standard lens uses a GA (ground aspherical) lens made in-house and is Voigtländer’s fastest full-frame interchangeable lens at F1.
The lens equipped with electroniccontacts which communicate data with the body. The aperture is mechanically linked and has selective aperture control system for video compatibility.

フォクトレンダー一眼レフ用交換レンズ、SLIISシリーズの交換レンズ 1機種を開発発表いたします。
NOKTON 55mm F1.2 SLIIS
光学設計と接点周りの構造を見直し、一般的にニコンAi-Sマウントでは製作不可能と言われていた明るさF1.2のレンズに電子接点を搭載した標準レンズを実現しました。マウントは CPU 内蔵ニコン Ai-S マウント。Aiカプラーを搭載し、往年のフィルム一眼レフから最新のデジタル一眼レフまで、幅広いバリエーションのボディを使うことが可能です。
By reviewing the optical design and the structure around the contacts, we have realized a standard lens equipped electronic contacts with a brightness of F1.2, which was generally considered impossible to produce with the Nikon AI-S mount.
The mount is Nikon AI-S mount with built-in CPU. Equipped with an AI coupler, the lens can be used with a wide variety of bodies, from film SLRs of yesteryear to the latest digital SLRs.
