Features
Based on the Sony E-mount lens launched as the standard lens with the highest level of performance in Voigtländer history, this lens is optimized for M-mount full frame sensors. With an apochromatic design to reduce the axial chromatic aberrations of RGB, which comprise the three primary colors of light, to practically zero, this lens achieves a level of performance that completely changes the sense of value of a standard lens. With its compact form, the lens handles very nicely when used on a rangefinder camera.

Apochromatic design
This design thoroughly eliminates various aberrations including axial chromatic aberrations and pursues the ultimate performance in terms of resolution and contrast reproducibility.
Optical glass and mechanical components that deliver high performance
Of the 10 elements in 8 groups in the optical configuration of this lens, 2 elements are made using anomalous partial dispersion glass, 2 elements have aspherical surfaces on both sides, and the lens also employs a floating mechanism.
Compact style
The short length of the lens ensures it only protrudes slightly into the rangefinder window. Weighting only 288 grams (without accessories), the lens provides nimble handling.
12-blade aperture diaphragm for enjoying expression utilizing bokeh balls
The 12-blade aperture diaphragm utilizes a special shape to ensure a circular aperture opening at the maximum aperture of F2 as well as at aperture settings such as F2.8 and F5.6. This enables imaging utilizing bokeh balls of point light sources.
Bayonet type hood (sold separately)
The durable and beautiful metal LH-13 bayonet type lens hood is provided as an optional accessory.
Manual focus for reliable focusing
Employs a very precisely machined and adjusted all metal helicoid unit lubricated with high quality grease to realize smooth focusing operation with just the right amount of torque. This enables very precise focusing.
Bayonet type VM mount
Uses the VM-mount lens mount compatible with Leica M-mount.
Installed with a focus-coupling system
The high-precision rangefinder coupling mechanism enables precise focusing in focus critical situations such as when shooting at or close to maximum aperture.
Imaging circle that covers full frame format
The lens features a generous imaging circle that covers the 35 mm full frame format.
