A standard lens with a classical and compact style, bearing the name of "APO-LANTHAR," a proof of ultimate performance. While adopting a maximum aperture of F3.5, the lens is composed of eight elements in six groups, four of which are made of anomalous partial-dispersion glass, to achieve uncompromising optical performance.

Three Limited Edition Colors
Based on the APO-LANTHAR 50mm F3.5 Type I, the 25th Anniversary lens is available in three different Limited Edition colors: olive, gray, and navy.
Limited production of 750 lenses, 250 each color
Production is only 250 lenses of each color, all engraved with their own limited edition number. Also included is a lens pouch with an image of the color of each lens.
Minimum focus distance of 0.45 meters
The lens focuses beyond the minimum rangefinder-coupled focus distance of 0.7m all the way down to 0.45m. This feature is especially useful when using the lens on a camera with a live view function
Focusing click of the rangefinder coupling range
A mechanism is provided to recognize the junction point of the rangefinder-linked range by a clicking sensation during focusing operation
Includes metal hood, front lens cap, and rear lens cap
In addition to the brass hood and lens cap, the rear lens cap is made of all metal brass alloy.
Manual focus for reliable focusing
Employs a very precisely machined and adjusted all metal helicoid unit lubricated with high quality grease to realize smooth focusing operation with just the right amount of torque. This enables very precise focusing
Bayonet type VM mount
Uses the VM-mount lens mount compatible with M-mount
Installed with a focus-coupling system
The high-precision rangefinder coupling mechanism enables precise focusing in focus critical situations such as when shooting at or close to maximum aperture
Imaging circle that covers full frame format
